Bitra Bibliography Of Interpreting And Translation Schools

Keywords

This provides a list of the searchable keywords which make up the contents of the field SUBJECT. All of them are arranged by macrocategories (the words in capital letters in this list).

In BITRA you will find this same list, which you can access by clicking on "Keywords".

Every keyword is headed by a global category (THEORY, PROBLEM, etc.) which will always appear together with the relevant keyword. Thus, any document on translatability will feature the words "Translatability" and "Theory", whilst any document on medical translation will always feature the words "Medicine", "Technical" and "Genre".

Here are a few examples of subject description as they appear in the English version:

"The First Spanish Translation of Utopia (1637)" SUBJECT: History. XVII. Earlier. Spain. United Kingdom. Author. Thomas More. Work. 'Utopia'.)

"La traducción condicionada de los nombres propios" [The constrained translation of names] SUBJECT: Proper noun. Culture. Research. Theory. Problem.
